What types of dance do you teach? We teach all couples dances and even some line dances. Although not a comprehensive list, some of the many dances we teach are swing (which includes West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Charleston, Carolina Shag), Latin (which includes Bachata, Salsa, Casino de Rueda, Merengue, Bolero, Mambo), Ballroom (American and International including Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Samba, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Rumba, Argentine Tango, Viennese Waltz, Jive). If you don’t see what you’re looking for in this list, we most likely know it so please contact us to ask!
What are your hours? We are very flexible and are usually available any day of the week and any time between 7am and 10pm. YOU make your schedule! You don’t even have to schedule the same days and/or times each week if you plan to come regularly!
How do I register for a class or schedule a private lesson? For dances or group classes, you can call or text us at 910-352-7198 or register by visiting our registration page.
Do I need a partner? No! You never need a partner at Dancing Davis Studios. In group classes we rotate so everyone dances with each other (that's the best way to learn!). And in private lessons you can come by yourself or with a friend.
What kind of shoes do I need to wear? Anything with a slick soul such as suede. Athletic shoes like running shoes or tennis shoes are not great because they stick to the floor and can cause injury.
What kind of clothes should I wear? We're not picky! Wear something comfortable but not too baggy or low-cut (we don't want to have any wardrobe malfunctions!)
I've never danced before and have two left feet. Can I still take dance lessons? Absolutely!! Everyone who has a heart beat has rhythm and even two left feet can learn do dance. There's no judgement here so you can feel comfortable to come and enjoy yourself.
Is there an age limit? Do you teach children? You’re never too old to dance!! Dance can actually help prevent dementia so call us now to schedule a lesson! We do ask that children be at least seven years old and we look forward to teaching your kids when they reach that age.
How do I get to your studio? Our address is 295 Sloop Point Road, Hampstead, NC 28443. We are just off of Highway 17 across from Eastern Outfitters. Once you turn onto Sloop Point Road (NOT Sloop Point LOOP Road!) we are on the left immediately after the baseball field across from Blake's Chapel. If you use your GPS make sure you select 295 Sloop Point Road, NOT 295 Sloop Point LOOP Road. We know....it's confusing!

Your home or another meeting location! Yes, we can come to you for a small travel fee!
How much do lessons cost?
Our private group classes (5 or more students) are a great value at only $12 per person per hour. Private lessons (one to four students) are competitively priced at $50 per hour, ensuring that you receive high-quality instruction at an affordable price.
